This photogram forms part of a series of images that manage to subvert this iconic image of the ‘perfect women’, the barbie doll, that has infiltrated our society with such longevity and insidiousness. I felt the need to take ownership of the image and, of course, distort it so that it came closer to the reality of a girl’s life.
